Explore the Air is an interactive exhibition about aerodynamics and wind energy featuring: AirPlay, a selection of highly interactive exhibits created by the Montshire Museum of Science and WindWorks, a locally developed exhibit exploring the ways humankind has harnessed the wind's energy to make power.
AirPlay allows visitors to develop an intuitive understanding of how air moves, how moving air affects objects in its path, and how, in turn objects affect the movement of air. The exhibition is specifically designed to foster interaction among family members and groups of peers, and to allow visitors to make discoveries about air - both in active and subtle ways.
Explore the Air will also feature several stand alone exhibits developed by the Exploratorium in San Francisco and a great new, locally developed hang glider simulator that lets you experience the thrills of hang gliding without hte spills and danger of broken bones. This is a spectacular creation by a local youth that has already garnered much attention among exhibit builders and users nationwide.
