Science on Tap: Unmanned Aircraft Systems: Their Current Uses and Potential Future in Montana

Jen Fowler
Office of Autonomous Aerial Systems, The University of Montana

The relative simplicity and cost of small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) provide an attractive entry point for universities and small business entrepreneurs. However, despite the economic potential UAS represent, they largely remain technology in search of problems to solve and they still face numerous regulatory, logistical, technical, and engineering barriers. There is a statewide effort in Montana underway to overcome the aforementioned barriers to deployment of UAS and we will discuss this effort at Science on Tap.

Must be 21 + to participate. Please note that this is an adults-only program and there is NO admission fee.  Beer and wine available for sale.
