Leader-in-Training Program

Our Leader-in-Training (LIT) program replaces and expands upon our previous volunteer program. As an unpaid volunteer opportunity with an increased focus on personal growth and professional experience, teens will work with skilled educators and enjoy a summer to remember.

Who is this program for?

Loves kids
Our LIT program offers opportunities to work with younger campers as leaders or mentors, a perfect fit for teens who love taking care of little ones or are interested in learning more about working in education.

Loves ExWorks
It’s common for teens who love a particular camp as a camper to want to keep attending it in any capacity. Our Leader-in-training program offers a great way for them to evolve their relationship with a favorite camp and help deliver the experience they fell in love with to a new generation of campers.

Ready for responsibility
In addition to the two reasons above, teens can pursue our LIT program as a way to build important new skills in anything from operations to leadership.

Once your teen has successfully completed the LIT program, they are eligible to sign up for camp sessions throughout the summer to hone their skills and support Lead Educators in a camp setting.

There are two options for Teens to get the training and experience that they need to be eligible to continue the program in the summer:
